Karen McCombie was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 1963. She now lives in London with her husband, daughter and fat ginger cat.

Anneli Bray is an illustrator, artist and maker based in the North West of England. Anneli illustrates stories and characters influenced by her love of wonder, belonging and adventure. She graduated with a First in Illustration and has since illustrated for Vita Murrow in her childrens book, Onyx: The Wolf Who Found a New Way to be a Leader.Annelis debut picture book,The Last Garden, was published in 2021, with more exiting work to come.
