Phonics Practice Pupil Book 7reinforces content from Phase Five, Term 2 and Phase Five, Term 3 ofMy Letters and Sounds. In this book, your child will learn alternative graphemes for known phonemes. For example, children learn that the /v/ sound can be made by the grapheme ve as well as the grapheme v which they learnt in Reception. As the new graphemes are introduced, phoneme families are revised, which helps to build childrens knowledge of alternative spellings of phonemes. This supports the development of their spelling as well as their reading.
