Review
a lovingly produced collection of 10 short stories mapping the legend of
dragons in childrens literature from the mythic to the modern. The joy of
books and the art of storytelling pervades throughout making this a textured
tapestry of tales with a twist. Strange, other-worldy, yet good-natured, this
is fuel to fire young imaginations.

ON CHRIS PREVIOUS GIFT COLLECTION DUST N BONES:
Are you feeling brave? This is not just one screamingly scary story but 10
totally terrifying tales. Each story is a few pages long perfect for getting
REALLY frightened before bedtime or ideal for reading at a Halloween party and
becoming perfectly petrified.
Theres the story of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (which will curl your toes
up) or By The Fireside (which will make your hair stand on end) or A Bedtime
Tale (which will make you shiver in your slippers). Theres a good mix of old
ghostly stories re-told and brand new spooky tales.
These arent tales for the faint-hearted. But they are brilliantly written and
illustrated with cool and colourful drawings. (CBBC Newsround )
