Tasting notes is a light, sweet cup with a subtle berry undertone. Roast Level: Medium
Our grandfather Charles Ray Cooper was a family man, coffee lover but also a struggling alcoholic. As a lead Pastor, he decided to attend rehab for his addiction, but before attending rehab he wanted to finish his last bottle of whiskey. Every morning family members can remember him clinking through the mug cabinet to add some whiskey to his coffee.
After completing treatment, he would tell his story of alcoholism to anyone who would listen, including the church congregation.
By aging our beans in whiskey barrels, we offer not only a unique flavor profile but a powerful story of hope, resilience and transformation. By sharing his story through coffee, we can remind others the value of relationships and that theres always a path towards positive change!
