About the Author

Dr. Julie Edge has been a Consultant in Paediatric Diabetes since 1997, and is the lead clinician for childrens and adolescent diabetes in Oxfordshire, UK. She is the clinical lead for the local Children and Young Peoples Diabetes Network, is involved nationally in the NICE diabetes guideline for children review and the Diabetes Peer Review program, and was on the NHS Diabetes Programme Board for the Department of Health. She is a past chair of the Association of Childrens Diabetes Clinicians in England.
